Oscars 2017: Moonlight wins Best Picture after huge mix-up

This is the dramatic moment the wrong Best Picture winner was announced at the Oscars 2017.

Presenters Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty were handed the wrong envelope and announced La La Land as the winner of the night's biggest prize. There was a shock end to this year's Academy Awards after La La Land was wrongly named Best Picture.
But halfway through the cast's acceptance speech, the mistake was realised and it was revealed that Moonlight was in fact the winner of Best Picture.
It wasn't all bad news for La La Land, which eventually took home a total of six awards, including Best Actress for Emma Stone and Best Director for Damien Chazelle.
Viola Davis was among the other big winners of the night, taking home Best Supporting Actress for her role in Fences.
She is now the first black person to win an Oscar, Emmy and Tony for acting. All she needs is a Grammy and she'll have achieved the much-coveted EGOT.
